Respects

As most of you will now know, Steve Irwin, Crocodile hunter has died.
In a freak accident while filming a documentary, he was stung in the chest by a sting ray and died soon after. He will be missed.

My heart goes out to all his family and friends, esp;ecially his daughter who was filming with him when the tragedy happened.

The man who showed us a new way of looking at the natural world, who got up close and personal with some of the world's most dangerous creatures and risked his life to help preserve them has done more for conservation and awareness than any other wildlife expert.

In Steve's own words...

'aww he's getting a bit grumpy!'

Goodbye Crocodile hunter, we will miss you much

very sad. I thought it was strangly ironic that after years of pissing off crocodiles and deadly snakes, he get's killed in a freak attack by a creature the bbc described as 'normally docile'.

Apparently the ray's barb pierced his heart, otherwise he would have just had a painful chest to show for it. Freaky.
