So, Download.

One of the best times I have had in my life. I spent far too much money and didn't once get into the arena to see bans, and spend most of the week out of my skull, but itwas fantastic. To be honest it was better sitting on the grass on the hilly bit around the areana, cos you could still see the stage and were free to wander off and do shopping or whatever, Metallica...well they were amazing...must have played for nearly 3 hours...it's 20 years since they started. Korn...or Quorn... Look like Korn, Sound like Korn, but just ain't Korn....well you can't really blame the guy for not doing the gig as he was rushed into hospital with a blood count of five and was told that if he'd done the gig and had headbanged on stage he;d have died of a brain hemorage in a matter of minutes. I didn't think they were bad...they got singers from other bands like Trivium and a few others to do it, bt there were a lot of pissed off Korn fans coming out of the arena.
Cradle of Filth...well not my thing, Bullet for my valentine...what can I say, it's like boyband metal. And Guns 'n' Roses...or axel Rose and friends...well they were really good, but Axel threw a strop and walked off stage for half an hour, and apparently managed to cause a riot by being a prima donnaish wanker. We'd left by then and started the long drive hime to beat the morning panic on the monday.

On wednesday I ended up going to see The Pussy Cat Dolls, who were supporting the BLack Eyed Peas at the MEN in machester. PCD were crap, BEP were fucking great, except the MEN was far to hot and I fainter half way through...doh.

And then Last night I went to see DEF LEPPARD. 30 years old and still rocking. They were at Sheffield arena and it was the most amazing gig I've ever been to. They are Fucking Fantastic! I loved it when they were introducing everyon in the band and the singer dude (ok I'm crap at names) said about the drummer and how great he was after all he'd been through, and the whole crowd were jummping up and down and screaming and cheering for him and the poor guy looked really choked up because it was obvious that we all thought he was fantastic. It was bloody brilliant to see.
I did try and take some pictures but I don't know how well they've turned out. Im telling you now, if you EVER get the chance to see them...do it, it's worth every single penny.

wow that's a lot of gigs! sounds like you had a chilled out time at download, maybe that is better than getting sweaty in the moshpit. I would have wanted to be in the area to see metallica but I bet I wouldn't have been able to find my tent again :)
