Valentines

I miss you.
Torn away
So suddenly,
Before I had a chance
To say goodbye.
I wasn't there to see you,
Or to comfort those I love
When you passed on.
The memories are there
Still bright, but overshadowed
By the later times,
When you weren't you
And pain was all I saw.
You are at rest now,
At peace,
And the bad memories
That fill my head,
Will fade.
I will remember you
As you were, so full of life,
So kind and caring.
I loved you,
And I miss you.
